camp 2014, livin' large, john 10:10
This years theme for camp was Livin’ Large, based on John 10:10 and God’s abundant life that he has to offer us. We broke the days into three “subthemes” all about the ways that we can live our life abundantly (the way that God intended).
Serve Big
There are so many ways that you can serve, such as praying for someone, giving a gift, or something as special as going on a missions trip! All of these are ways that we can serve big. You can do the biggest thing for God and have the wrong attitude about it ,and your act of service is worth nothing. Whenever we serve others, we are essentially serving God because He created us and He wants His people to be served. Serving others is rewarding!
Love Big
Loving is a huge part of living abundantly! Our job as a Christian is to love the unlovely and be kind to the people who are unkind to you. Forgiveness goes right along with loving. Always forgive no matter how hard it may seem and what that person(s) has done to you in the past. Jesus forgave us all from our sins and we were not worthy of it at all. So who are we to judge who deserves forgiveness? Gods love is unconditional! It never fails! We should strive to have love like God because He is the perfect example of loving big.
Give Big
This lesson taught us that if we give our ordinary things such as time, prayer, love, talent, and even our money, God will take all of this ordinary stuff and multiply it and make it more abundant to benefit His kingdom. Don’t hold back on giving because you will definitely be blessed. When you give what you have to God, you will not be sorry.
Sometimes in order to have an abundant life, God has to “break” us and refine us to become better, but after the fires and breaks are through, we are made into something far greater than we were before all the tests in our lives. God has a greater purpose for us that we can’t fulfil on our own. We need His help to have that abundant life we were designed to have, live, and embrace!

Recap of Camp 2013 'give it all'
This past summer approximately 60 lives were encouraged to 'Give it All' for Christ. The theme scripture was 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 "May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and He will do it."
