A message from Pastor Art:
We pray that you are all healthy, well, and not allowing the panic and fear of the unknown of what is being propagated in the media to overcome you. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of a sound mind. With that sound mind, I believe that we need to be smart and diligent in our dealing with the Corona Virus.
We understand the importance to follow our civic leaders, and the importance of following God over those same civic leaders. In an effort of taking care of ourselves and our fellow man we will not be holding services at the Huntingdon Oasis for the remainder of March. We recognize that the Church is not a building, but a body of believers. WE ARE THE CHURCH!
Although the local church of the Huntingdon Oasis will not be meeting formally together, we will be submitting video link recommendations for you to watch on Wednesday Evenings and on Sunday Morning at 10AM we will be livestreaming via Facebook and if possible on our website. The livestream will originate from Freedom Hall if anyone doesn’t have the ability to receive the livestream, or just needs to see a real person (In Freedom Hall we have room to spread out).
With all this in mind, we at the Oasis are going to try to keep things as normal as possible. In a time of uncertainty, we need something stable in our lives. For these reasons, if you are struggling, or in need, there will be someone in the office during normal hours, and someone at the phone, (814) 627-3819, at all times. You can call the church office at any time.
Please continue to pray for God’s direction and guidance for our leaders, for this virus to stop and die off, for people to cry out to God, for fear to be gone and people to have a renewed sense of trust in God, for those who are sick that they be healed and their loved ones comforted, and on and on. Just pray, we need it, our nation needs prayer, our world needs prayer right now. Prayer is a powerful weapon against the enemy. And as we pray, keep your eyes on God, He is our bright side in the darkest of hours. He is good!
This evening we are suggesting this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RYzyGTo7BI from Jenzen Franklin. The first 40 minutes is worship, while the last 40 are a powerful message. Enjoy the service!
